Eugene Letecky — Realigning Health from the Ground Up
In this PT Spotlight, Master Coach Eugene Letecky shares his integrative approach to health and training: from detoxing heavy metals to fixing jaw alignment, improving posture, and teaching clients to reclaim their biology by using their surroundings.

In today’s PT Spotlight, we sat down with Eugene Letecky, a multilingual personal trainer with a systems-thinking approach. His coaching combines neurology, posture, nutrition, and detox strategies—going far beyond reps and sets.
Autoimmune, Diet, and Detox
Eugene: I’ve worked with people who have autoimmune conditions—Hashimoto’s, MS, colitis. These are serious issues that mainstream medicine often doesn’t solve. One of the first things I recommend (not medical advice) is removing grains and seed oils, and adding back in natural iodine, selenium, and B vitamins. These affect the thyroid and serotonin levels.
Heavy metals are a huge contributor too—mercury, aluminum, lead. The bigger the fish, the higher the concentrate of heavy metals in them. Sardines are a good option. And parasites—most people have them. Look at MS autopsies. Almost all show parasites (in the spine).
Detoxification is real. You need binders to capture the metals, proper supplementation, and very important: stop ingesting toxins daily.
Weather, Plastics, and Environmental Factors
What about plastics and things like weather modification?
Eugene: Yeah, those too. In Florida, they’re banning weather modification now because of aluminum being sprayed. It’s in the rainwater. We're being polluted from above and below.
Recalibrating the Brain and Posture
Eugene: The body isn’t just about muscles. It’s about how the brain perceives the body in space. I always start with posture and alignment. You can’t fix a shoulder if the jaw’s not aligned. You can’t fix hips if visual processing is off.
I test how the brain is tracking the body. I use eye exercises, jaw release, sometimes even visual field tests. People think it's "woo-woo" until their chronic pain disappears in one session.
Jaw Development, Ancient Wisdom, and Soft Foods
You look at people from indigenous cultures — strong jaws, perfect teeth, upright posture. Why them and not us?
Eugene: Because they chewed real food. Their facial proportions are exceptional. Now everything’s soft. Kids don’t develop their facial bones properly. That affects breathing, oxygen, even body alignment.
Shoes, Terrain, and Real Movement
Everyone should be wearing minimalistic shoes—wide toe box, no heel lift, thin sole. You want your foot to move, feel, and grip. That’s how you train the nervous system.
But that only works when you're walking on uneven surfaces, right?
You took the words out of my mouth. Indeed, you need to find a trail on the sand or in the woods and walk around there for 30-40 minutes. I tell people: go walk barefoot on sand, rocks, grass. Stop doing everything on flat floors (and in elevated shoes).
Blue Light, Mental Health, and Light Therapy
Tell me about blocking blue light. I read that you're doing it in your studio.
Eugene: Yes in my studio, I use blue light blocking lights. It calms the nervous system. It’s like daylight without the artificial stress. Clients with anxiety say it feels different right away.
I use daylight lamps in the morning too, but it’s hard to stay disciplined.
Eugene: That’s why it needs to be in the environment. Change the lighting, not your willpower.
Strength Training for Longevity
What about aging and weightlifting? When you're in your 50s, for example.
Eugene: I work with a lot of older clients. Especially women who are scared of getting bulky. That myth has hurt so many. Weightlifting is key for longevity, bone density, and mental health.
We need to shift the goal from “looking good” to “feeling strong.”
Communication, Language, and Trust
You speak a lot of languages. How does that help you in your studio?
Eugene: I speak six languages. It helps so much in building trust with clients. When you speak someone’s language, you connect to their nervous system.
Also, being bilingual improves brain health. It can delay Alzheimer’s
Supplements and Smart Inputs
Eugene: I take magnesium taurate in the morning—great for the heart and energy. Then glycinate at night to calm the brain.
But always use third-party tested supplements. I'm not loyal to one website or brand but I research it. No fillers, no junk, I want to know that 100% is what they say it is.
